Tenshin dojo is a non-profit organization, founded in 2002 as a successor of Aikido club Tenshi in Zlin. This club existed since 1996 and was engaged in practice and propagation of aikido in the region (originally as a partner of Czech Federation of Aikido).  When we broadened the scope of our activities, we considered it suitable to change the name and regulations of the club, as well as the whole structure of our activities.

In present, Tenshin dojo:

• Organizes, advances and further propagates aikido, kendo, iaido, jodo, and other activities that aim for the mental and physical development of a person.

• Can publish, manufacture and distribute propagation materials and training aids.

• Organizes public presentations in order to support the development of its activities and to inform the public about them.

• Organizes regular courses and seminars, including exams, tournaments and competitions.

• Supports international cooperation.

In addition to both Czech and foreign martial arts clubs, we actively collaborate with

• The Zlin city municipality

• Czech Kendo Federation

• "Federation Europeenne de Jodo" (European jodo federation)

(The aikido club is independent, iaido and kendo clubs are members of Czech Kendo Federation and the jodo club is a member of FEJ.)

The current chairman of the Tenshin dojo is Patrik Orth.

The http://tenshin.cz pages were created in order to inform the members as well as public about our activities. The original version was created in 2001 with the help of Petr Hvezda.  Michal Kolisek assisted us with the new design.
